I have been a piano teacher for about 20 years, recently I formed Norwich Community Choir to help promote a feeling of belonging in the community.
To be a part of our choir you just have to love singing. There are no auditions and you don't need to read music. There is a social life attached to the choir that some like to take part in. We have known for a long time that singing makes us feel good and now doctors are saying that it raises the immune system, lowers blood pressure and helps lift depression. Here is what Debra said about our choir "It took a lot of guts to go, not knowing anyone, but I was immediately made to feel welcome. Once I started to sing, to join in, I felt elated and quite simply fantastic. I loved every minute and left on a major high. It didn't take long for me to fit in and I noticed a change in myself from the start.

Sprowston Community Choir
There are no auditions and you don't need to read music as everything is taught by ear. If you love singing then you will love this choir. Remember singing is not only enjoyable but is good for you! It lifts your spirits and gives you an energy boost.
We will start off with rounds so that everyone has a chance to sing the tune after that we will break into simple part singing. You will have a lot of fun and be part of creating a beautiful sound.
Performance is not a condition of being in the choir but this group will be part of Norwich Community Choir and will be able to join with them for performance and social occasions. Have a look on our website to see what we get up to www.norwichcommunitychoir.co.uk
Come along any Tuesday for a free session to see if you like us.
