Michael Paye

I am an experienced grinds teacher at both second and third level in English. I received a first class honours degree in my English MA in UCD in 2011. I received a BA (1st Class Honours) in English from UCD in 2010. I received an A1 in the higher level Leaving Certificate paper in English also.

I will provide extensive notes for all levels. The focus will be on essay writing techniques, combating weak areas and development of skills in different sections of the Junior or Leaving Certificate paper. For example, if you are intimidated by a particular question, I will show you how to approach it so that no matter the problem, you will have the right methodology to solve it and answer the question to the best of your ability.

For BA students, I can recommend sources for essays, assist in understanding how to use criticism, and how to write an academic essay. I have knowledge of a wide range of disciplines in English. My specialties are Anglo-Irish literature, postcolonial and ecocritical literature and Caribbean studies
