Yoga Teacher
I have been teaching Yoga Fitness since 2006 and later qualified as an Iyengar Yoga Teacher in 2009. I have studied with the revered Dr Geeta Iyengar, Swati and Rajiv Chanachani, Firoozi Ali and Jawaha Bangera. I regularly attend Yoga therapy workshops and guest teacher days at Manchester's Iyengar Institute. I am particularly interested in therapy based Yoga, and sequence my classes to meet the specific health aims of the group. As a runner myself, I have developed classes designed to complement such athletic pursuits.
Iyengar Yoga helps you focus on correct alignment of the body to ensure you’re working safely with maximum benefit to your flexibility, strength and well-being. Classes can be hard work as the poses involve intense stretching but you’ll leave feeling lighter and calmer. A strong, flexible yoga body is less susceptible to injury.
