Private Teaching

Lessons for Brit ex-pats in France

One-to-one sessions at your home. Distance from my home will determine rates, but as a guide, I teach in my own village and in another about 12km away for 25€ an hour.

Let me know what kind of tuition you need, and we'll devise a series of lessons to deliver your requirements. Length of course will depend upon previous knowledge, propensity for language learning, additional practice, etc.

Don't ask me to teach you all the technical aeronautic terms to get you a job at Airbus in Toulouse!! I don't know them, and you almost certainly won't get one!

Need to get by on the market? Need to talk to your builder? Want to chat to your neighbour? Just want a beer in the café?

If so, I'll help you out.

THE SMALL PRINT

No small print, really. Contact me to discuss your requirements, and I'll probably be able to tailor-make something right for you. Example: I'm currently teaching an English lady who has opened a B&B. She needs to learn very quickly the basic requirements for welcoming and dealing with her guests.

I like to be paid per hour, by cash if in person or through a French OR UK bank, or via PayPal if lessons delivered via internet (like Windows Live Messenger, for example). I operate on a PAYG basis, so you can stop any time (or I can!).

Pay for just one lesson in advance. Pay for next lesson at end of session. At the end of each hour, book your next hour.

No contracts, no Ts & Cs. Life's too short! Just good manners and common sense.

No silly promises, either. Language learning isn't easy for most people, and there aren't any magic solutions. An honest effort on both sides is the most important thing.
