I've been keenly folding Origami for a couple of years now, and understand how useful it can be to have someone demonstrate the verious folding techniques, rather than trying to puzzle everything out from the sometimes hard-to-follow diagrams in books. I'm familiar with simple Origami, complex Origami, Origami Tessellations, and modular Origami, and am a member of the British Origami Society. Folding in company is also a good way of improving your own skills, since everyone has little tricks and knacks that the books can't really show.

I've an honours degree in Pure Mathematics, and also have a wide knowledge of recreational mathematics (mathematical games and puzzles, fractals, chaos theory etc.).

I've worked with computers for over three decades, covering various programming languages, several database systems, computer graphics, and everything from PCs and MacBooks to large mainframe computers.

I'm a keen home cook, though nowhere near restaurant standard. My speciality is making curries and baltis at home that are as good as those eaten in restaurants.

I've been a reader of science fiction and related fiction for nearly forty years, and am always happy to discuss it, or to pass on (and receive!) recommendations.
