The Silva Navigation School runs high quality map and compass courses in the Peak District. We follow the syllabus of the National Navigation Award Scheme at bronze, silver and gold levels.
The school is run by writer and navigation expert Pete Hawkins who has been teaching the subject for over 25 years.

THE SMALL PRINT
Weekend Courses: If you cancel less than six weeks before the weekend starts and there is no waiting list, you will loose your entire course fee. If there is a waiting list then £30 will be retained for administrative purposes. If you cancel more than six weeks before the start of the weekend, you will lose just £20 of the booking fee for administration.
Day Courses: If you cancel less than six weeks before the weekend starts and there is no waiting list, you will loose your entire course fee. If there is a waiting list then £10 will be retained for administrative purposes. If you cancel more than six weeks before the start of the weekend, you will lose just £5 of the booking fee for administration.
