20 years working in Art & Design, apart from teaching i've exhibited & sold work in UK and USA (see http://www.colourmount.com ). I've also worked as a Freelance Graphic designer, Curator and ran my own Gallery/Arts Consultancy for 5 years ( see http://www.art-3.co.uk ).
As a Tutor/Lecturer i have taught since the early 1990's working in both USA/UK. Teaching; painting and drawing, Printmaking, digital imaging,Photography, Web design. ceramics and art history. I also have experience with online and interactive learning

I have over 10 years experience teaching about Art history. In the main this involves artists & Art from around 1850 onwards, but mainly specialises in Twentieth Century & contemporary Art.
The type of tuition on offer here could be-:
A lecture for a group (presentation by Powerpoint or slides) on a particular artist, theme or movement
Visits to major London Galleries and Museums such as Tate Britain/ Modern, Courtauld Institute, V&A
Tour of major London independent Galleries, e:g in East end of London, Cork St and other current exhibitions
help with a course essay or paper

Ever wondered what is meant by a "Warm/Cold Contrast"? or what is "negative space"?
A chance to obtain new and develop existing skills-:
painting and drawing, e:g: using water colours, acrylic, oils, pencil, charcoal and other mixed media (details can be discussed).
Exercises: still life, photographs. landscape. develop ideas, sketchbooks, Life drawing (student(s) pays cost of model).
Portfolio building and reviews and advice on all types of further study.
You can undertake individual sessions or we can devise a structured programme of study

A good overview or bespoke training in how to use software packages such as Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver. This can be for the following purposes-:
To learn technical skills such as selecting, colour correcting, using layers, painting and editing (Photoshop) or page layout, tables, layers, Frames, CSS (Dreamweaver).
Develop a specific project in terms of working on images or designing/creating own web pages/and or site. Potential students please note: that this is within the framework of tutoring so you would be required to do the bulk of the work yourself. If you wish to discuss commissioning me to undertake the work (I:e as a Designer) then this is negotiable under separate rates and terms.
Also available, tuition in Quark XPress (similar to web design but is focussed on page layout for print),
Flash (animation graphics for web)
Final Cut Pro (film editing, Mac only).
Illustrator/Freehand (Illustration)
Microsoft Office
Both PC or Mac platforms, in most cases students should provide their own computer/laptop & software. I have a PC laptop that can be used.
