Kiho'alu -- Hawai'ian Slack Key Guitar teacher

Peter Wing | Kiho'alu -- Hawai'ian Slack Key Guitar teacher

I'm a ha'ole fellow with a throughly Hawai'ian heart. I've been taught the art and culture of kiho'alu (slack key guitar) by the masters- George Kahumoku, Jr., Dennis Kamakahi, Cyril Pahinui, Led Kaapana and many others. I perform, and write (largely in Hawai'ian). I also play with my Ohana Band (my wife, two sons & girlfriends and a neighbor or two).
I'm currently in the hills in La Honda, between Palo Alto and the Pacific (we'll be moving to Maui in November).
I'd love to share some of the thrill and nahenahe (try "chicken skin") beauty of this eternal music.

THE SMALL PRINT

Warning: some persons may become infected with the "Aloha Spirit" virus. It is completely incurable and highly contagious. Symptoms include a proclivity for sharing food and music, appreciating the awesomeness of nature, being grateful for all people and hanging out at the beach a lot. You also tend to wear brighter clothes.
