I am an enthusiastic and friendly singing teacher and I work well with children and adults of all singing abilities.
I teach various styles of singing; jazz, pop, rock, musical theatre, classical, folk, opera. I work with vocal techniques that enable students to sing safely in any style, including the belting technique so often heard in musical theatre, pop and rock. I also teach music theory, improvisation, sight singing, aural and beginner to intermediate piano skills.
The majority of my teaching is from my home, teaching one-to-one or small groups, but I also teach larger groups at a childrens theatre school caled Starlight Theatre, I am Head of Singing/Musical Director on the Btec Performing Arts course at Cirencester College, and I visit a few local secondary schools as a peripatetic singing teacher.
I have a B.A. (Hons) Jazz Studies from Leeds College of Music, I did a year of postgraduate studying the music department at Middlesex University. I have achieved ABRSM Grade 8 in both singing(classical) and piano, I also have Grade 8 Rockschool (pop/rock singing). I also attended the Estill Voice Craft Levels 1 & 2 Course in 2006 at the Royal Academy of Music. I have been CRB checked.
