Private Teaching

Keyboard and Piano Lessons

Piano and keyboard lessons at Kwest are "music lessons with a difference..." Here's why:

Internationally Recognised Course

Kwest students follow a comprehensive music course for electronic keyboard and piano. Based on a popular music curriculum, its designed to help students of all ages develop a wide variety of practical musical skills. At the same time they are developing an extensive repertoire of familiar songs in a broad range of styles. You'll be playing songs right from the start, and learning new concepts step by step.

Group Sessions

Kwest lessons are taught in groups, making them much more sociable than traditional piano lessons. I've found group tuition allows students to learn more as it gives provides opportunities to listen and perform to others, and participate in quizzes and games.

Vital musical skills such as ensemble playing and duet playing are developed from the early stages. Not all classes require group participation however, it is up to the individual.

Students are grouped according to age and ability, class sizes are small (4-6 students) and each student has individual use of piano or keyboard for the whole class time.

Latest Technology

Kwest courses incorporate tuition in using the technical functions of modern electronic instruments. My music tuition is up to date, making it exciting for pupils to learn.

The exclusive student section of the website also ensures that students continue learning at home throughout the week.

Affordable lessons

The group lesson format makes lesson fees around half the price of standard 'private piano lessons'.

Concerts and Recitals

Playing in front of an audience is what music making is all about. Kwest strives to provide these vital opportunities for our students.

Extra Activities

Kwest also provides a range of additional courses for its students to broaden their musicianship. These range from music technology and sequencing skills workshops, to music listening sessions and summer school courses.
