Poppy has taught regular Chi Kung sessions and workshops in various venues in Dorset including Bournemouth, Swanage, and Poole since 1996. She is now based in Poole. Poppy has been a member of Independent Professional Therapists International since 1993 and is a member of the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners.
Poppy has been a student of Satipatthana Zen, Mindfulness Practice with Paul Taylor Sensei for over twenty five years. The Way of Sati developed by John Garrie Roshi provides insight into how we operate and skills to free us from the habitual behavior that restrains us. Sensei is based at Haracombe, a residential Training and Retreat Centre in Dorset,UK. He also teaches in Raglan, New Zealand.
Poppy taught Yoga for Ferndown Adult Education Centre, Bournemouth; at Verwood Leisure Centre and Christchurch Yoga Health Centre in Dorset for several years.

Poppy learnt to improve co-ordination of mind and body through the practice of Ki Aikido with Sensei Martin Mercer.

Poppy attended day workshops led by Brad Richecoeur at Ibsley Village Hall. Qigong helps us enjoy being alive as it is based in 'not trying' just experiencing and opening to the subtle energy known as Qi in oriental medicine.

In September 1984 Poppy attained the British Wheel of Yoga Teaching Diploma qualification.Tutor John Davis.
Poppy attended sessions, lectures, demonstrations and satsangs at two annual yoga seminars held at Zinal in Switzerland (EUFNY) in the early 1980's. Teachers included Sri Gurudev Satchidananda, Satyananda Saraswati, Sri Desikachar, Amrit Desai, Yoga Mudrananda.
