Chi Kung is a Chinese Exercise System and has its origins in Chinese Medicine, Oriental Philosophy and Martial Arts. Historically secrets were passed on from master to student.
Chi Kung encourages good health and well-being.

These Yin and Yang sequences of exercises help promote good health and vitality. Learn to breathe, move, stretch and relax encouraging the natural flow of chi energy throughout your body.
Group Classes include standing, sitting and lying down exercises, also chi development exercises and encourage full breathing.

Poppy has taught regular Chi Kung sessions and workshops in various venues in Dorset including Bournemouth, Swanage, and Poole since 1996. She is now based in Poole. Poppy has been a member of Independent Professional Therapists International since 1993 and is a member of the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners.

Satipatthana Zen

Poppy has been a student of Satipatthana Zen, Mindfulness Practice with Paul Taylor Sensei for over twenty five years. The Way of Sati developed by John Garrie Roshi provides insight into how we operate and skills to free us from the habitual behavior that restrains us. Sensei is based at Haracombe, a residential Training and Retreat Centre in Dorset,UK. He also teaches in Raglan, New Zealand.

In September 1984 Poppy attained the British Wheel of Yoga Teaching Diploma qualification.Tutor John Davis. Poppy attended sessions, lectures, demonstrations and satsangs at two annual yoga seminars held at Zinal in Switzerland (EUFNY) in the early 1980's. Teachers included Sri Gurudev Satchidananda, Satyananda Saraswati, Sri Desikachar, Amrit Desai, Yoga Mudrananda.
