I am a experienced singing, piano/keyboard, and flute teacher and have been teaching for the past 7 years. As of January 2013 I will be a Level One Speech Level Singing Teacher which is a singing technique used by more than 120 grammy award winners! I have been teaching privately and also in numerous different schools working with students as young as four years old.
I have studied Popular Music and Recording at Salford University and have achieved a first class honours degree as well as being awarded the highest marks in performance. I majored in Musical Directing and Vocal/Piano Performance.
More recently, in July 2011 I graduated with a Masters in Music Performance with Distinction.
I have Piano Grade 8 - Distinction, Flute - Grade 7 Merit and Grade 5 Music Theory.
I'm passionate about tailoring my teaching to my students needs; whether this is learning just for fun, or wanting to be entered in for exams.
With my background in Classical music and then studying a Popular Music Degree; I have the knowledge to cover a broad range of styles and genres including classical, rock, pop, gospel, soul, jazz, opera etc. This means if you have a particular song you would like to learn, I would be able to accomodate for your taste in music!
I am also a keen performer myself. I front a band called Milo Cho where we write our own songs and perform in different venues across the UK. The skills I have in songwriting are also teachable to any student who is more advanced and wants to progress onto writing their own material.
I currently only teach privately from my home studio. If travel is a problem, I also teach via skype.
