Rob tutored my son Tom for 6 months in GCSE Mathematics and Science.

Rob is clearly very committed to his work and pupils, and it was more than apparent that he had taken great care in preparing for each session.

What really shone through was Rob’s passion for his work and his desire to ensure that Tom achieved to the best of his ability. He always took considerable time to ensure Tom thoroughly understood each subject even if this meant running over the allotted time.

Rob is extremely professional and reliable and is very easy to get along with. In addition to his academic role, Rob also took time to build a professional friendship with Tom and a keen interest in ensuring that Tom developed his confidence. This greatly benefitted his academic achievement but importantly also his belief in himself and his abilities. Tom’s progress from this was clear for us to see. This was the real value added that I believe we received from the one to one tuition that Rob provided.

As Tom completed his GCSE exams Rob would always phone the same day to see how he had got on. This was clearly something he did with all his pupils as, although ensuring discretion, Rob would mention how others that he tutored had said the exam had gone.

I would highly recommend Rob as personal tutor and would happily be contacted to confirm this view.
