Rocio Bolanos
Rocio is currently doing the International Artist Diploma programme at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, studing with John Bradbury, Nicholas Cox and Antonio Salguero at the RNCM, Andrew Marriner in London and Pascal Moragues in Brussels.
She is awarded with a Buffet scholarship for this year.
Rocio was developing the Junior Fellow programme last year also at the RNCM and has completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Solo Performance previously obtaining a distinction.
Simultaneously, Rocio is on the extra list in the Hallé Orchestra, BBC Philarmonic Orchestra and Royal Liverpool Philarmonic Orchestra.
She begans her musical studies in Huelva (Spain) , supplemented with courses and instrumental refinements classes with teachers as Martin Fröst, Pyotr Szymislik, Dimitry Askenazy, Yehuda Gilad, Mattias Müller, Reiner Wehler, Matthias Glander, Lynsey Marsh, Eric Mandat, Vicent Alberola and Maximiliano Martin among others.
She has completed her undergraduate in Seville (Spain) at the Conservatorio Superior Manuel Castillo with a distinction qualification, and at the same time, was student in Barenboim-Said orchestral academy, where has received one to one and chamber music lesson from the Berlin Staatskapelle winds Gregor Witt (oboe), Thomas Beyer (flute), Holger Straube (bassoon), Ignacio Garcia (horn) and Matthias Glander (clarinet).
Rocio was playing for three years with the Orquesta Joven de Andalucia where she has had the opportunity to play with Daniel Barenboim among others great conductors as Michael Thomas and Arturo Tamayo.
As follows, she was working in a semi-professional orchestra for two years and as a freelance with a professional orchestra called Orquesta Sinfonica de Madrid (Spain) where she was conducted by Roberto Abbado, Nicola Luissoti, Enrrique Mazzola, Phillippe Bach and Jesús López Cobos among others.
