I am a highly motivated science teacher who is truly passionate about sharing scientific developments and basic understanding with tutees. I have an excellent academic record, most notably in Biology and Chemistry, which reflects not only my understanding of these subjects but also my great interest in them. I can thus tutor Biology and Chemistry to A level and Physics to GCSE level. I am also able to tutor Mathematics to GCSE level and Geography and French at KS3. Working with interesting young people, I have found tutoring to be both highly rewarding and enjoyable and I look forward to helping more tutees achieve their full potential.

My personal interests are in racing triathlons and cooking at dinner parties for friends and family.

Science and maths tutor

The following are 2 examples of students who I have taught recently. I am currently tutoring a young lady to help her achieve a grade C in her AS Chemistry resits. This is a bright pupil and improving organisation, exam technique and self confidence will be the key to helping her achieve and possibly beating her grade C target. I have just finished tutoring a 12 year old young man whose parents have just relocated from Australia and will begin secondary school this term. With this young man the aim was to develop self confidence in mathematics and I did this by encouraging him to approach math problems in a fun and creative way as if he were a detective.

I am a qualified teacher with a PGCE in secondary science education. I have a first class honours degree in Medical Biochemistry from King's College London with research experience at the MRC National Institute for Medical Research. This degree had a particularly strong focus on molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, genetics and immunology. I have A levels in Biology (A), Chemistry (B), Mathematics (B) and French (B).
