Shane Botwin
Greek teacher
I have a BA in French, and Latin and Greek literature, from the University of Southern California. I have done some doctoral work (1.5 years) as a teaching assistant at the graduate level specifically in Anglo-American philosophy. The French philosophy to which I was exposed while I lived there for a year has had the greatest influence on my intellectual outlook. During that year, I took two semesters on a wide variety of topics at the Sorbonne.
I've studied French formally, Comparative Literature and the piano for 8 years.
I'm more interested in skill-trading than in conversation. I would like to teach someone French while they teach me one of their fields of expertise.

THE SMALL PRINT
I'm interested in learning new skills, and teaching people mine. Right now I am learning to play the violin, as I am continuing to study philosophy.
Basically anyone should contact me, if they have a simple ("what does this mean?") question, or would like to trade teaching skills once a week. I don't mind either, and don't feel intimidated about the former.
