Learn How to Improve Your Songwriting! Tap into the creative genius that is uniquely YOU!
Learning the craft of writing can be FUN!
I have created original, fun, stimulating, inspiring techniques to create the music YOU want to create!
Lessons include going over topics and activities such as: structure, lyrics, melody, hooks, collaboration, song-critique and writer's block. Reach your potential as a songwriter in a safe, fun, supportive, and effective environment! I have worked with all types and ages and can relate and effectively communicate skills that you can cultivate and use forever.
Bring a guitar if you play, although not required, a CD with your favorite songs/artists, and if you have any songs you've written. Experience in playing an instrument is NOT required. Must bring typed lyric sheets if you want your song(s) critiqued.
Even if you've never written songs before but have a desire to learn, I can introduce ways that will leave you inspired, confident, excited, and excelling!
Whether your intentions lie in the music business or just as a hobby, this is the place to be.

Sterling Mire has a prolific background in music. Beginning at the age of four she began performing for childhood friends and family whenever opportunity struck.
Her musical lineage began with her grandfather who penned the Johnny Mercer song "Accentuate the Positive".
Sterling's father was a singer/songwriter/guitarist who fronted a top Austin, Texas band, opening for acts like
Janice Joplin, ZZ Top, Steve Miller, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Vaughn and Frank Zappa. Her mother was a singer/performer who fronted several popular Dallas based bands. At the age of 16, Sterling was accepted into the prestigious school of performing arts, Arts Magnet. From there, she honed her musical skills further and soon found herself with a development deal with Interscope Records.
Sterling's recent achievements include:
Songs featured on MTV television shows/Movies such as: The Hills, Pimp My Ride, Date My Mom, Parental Control, etc. The feature length film, "Free", in addition to placing music in various video games.
Summer of 2008, Sterling performed in music festivals throughout Austria to crowds as large as 8,000 people.
In 2009, Sterling completed a U.K. tour opening for the Manchester Music Festival, "In The City" and performed on
Channel M, Manchester's far-reaching, national television show and the BBC.
In 2010, Sterling's song, "The Past" will be featured in Harland William's upcoming movie "Fudgy Wudgy Fudge Face".
Sterling is a member of ASCAP since 2001 and writes and performs all her original music.
