I work with students to find the level they want to achieve and the pace they want to work at. I organise and facilitate photography workshops, projects and courses with groups and individuals. I aim to create stimulating learning environments and through conversations, formal discussions, writing, use of the internet, and photowalks we explore and critically reflect on the practice and potential of photography. I've been involved in photography most of my life. I've used photography in many different ways; making snapshots, photographing for magazines and books, and producing images for exhibitions, and teaching photography. My particular interests are in documentary, landscape and the everyday, as well as theories of photography and learning.

School of Everything: Unplugged!

Every Wednesday morning, from 10.30 till 12.30, School of Everything: Unplugged! brings people together to talk about education, technology and society. It's a space in which you're equally welcome to talk about big ideas or personal experiences - and our most rewarding conversations often come out of the connections between the two.

Some weeks we have a guest to start the discussion, others it's completely open. Either way, the direction in which the discussion goes is up to you.

Our Wednesday meetups are a relaxed morning:

- come along for the whole thing, or drop in when you can
- bring your laptop and use the free wifi, if you need to get on with some work
- or just drink lots of coffee (or tea) and have long conversations

It's a chance to meet old friends, people you'd like to know better or people you've never met before, and to explore some of the ideas behind School of Everything.

We meet in the Foyer by the windows overlooking the Hayward Gallery.

Experience

Nomads

I facilitate a photography and conversation group every Thursday morning, usually at the Camden Arts Centre. We sometimes decide to embark on a photowalk. We usually pick a theme to explore each week and we use Flickr to share our work and get feedback.
