Are you looking for a gentle introduction to your digital camera?
This one-day course is designed for those who want to master their digital SLR or bridge camera but who find the technology complicated and daunting.
Digital has many advantages over film photography and offers exciting creative opportunities but for some of us, all those buttons, dials and menus can be off putting. This is non technical approach to taking better digital photos.
The aim of the course is for you to gain more confidence in your ability to use your camera:
No prior knowledge or experience is required.
There are no more than 6 people in the group.
The approach is relaxed and the pace is informal.
Progress is at your pace and there is always opportunity to revisit topics if necessary.
Jargon is translated into plain, straightforward language.
There is a balance of theory and practical so we will spend roughly half the time in the studio and the other half out and about.
If you have invested in a ‘decent’ camera but use it just to ‘point and shoot’ and if you like the sound of the above approach, then this course is for you.
The course is appropriate for any type of digital camera, which has Manual or Aperture Priority setting – email your make and model if you are unsure and I will be happy to advise you.
You will learn:
How to use the really important controls on your camera
How to take well exposed photos
How to take sharp photos
Which settings to use when photographing people
Which settings to use when photographing landscapes
Basic composition techniques
The course is held at my studio at South Square Centre, Thornotn, near Bradford – birthplace of the Brontes. See all my courses at www.tocpics.co.uk
