I am endlessly inspired and fascinated by yoga’s potential for personal development and self- awareness. I’ve been sharing my love of the practice since 1993 and hope that the open and down to earth approach that I’ve developed over the years makes yoga accessible to everyone.
I believe that yoga isn't just what happens on the mat - it's about learning to live a life of balance. The holistic combination of physical postures and movement, breath work, focused awareness and relaxation techniques turns the attention to your inner world. As you learn to understand your thoughts, feelings and reactions on the yoga mat, you can apply what you discover to everyday life.
I teach open classes, workshops and holidays for the general public.
In addition I'm involved in various community oriented classes in schools, children's centres and prison, working with young people on emotional and behavioural issues, stress management and addiction support
Yoga in Action is part of the Off the Mat, Into the World initiative. It’s a heartfelt, practical programme that builds community around yoga and service, encouraging you to develop relationships with other yogis and activists in your local area and collaborate on creating real change.
This 7 week course allow you to embark on a transformational process; a journey of self-inquiry with the support of a small group of peers, that inspires conscious and sustainable activism and engages you with your community to make positive change in your world.
The programme brings together physical yoga practice, meditation, experiential exercises, visualization, process work and ritual, combined with the functional tools of communication, organizing and collaborating. Participants will acquire the skills to show up in the world more embodied, empowered and motivated so that their visions for change can become a reality.

My open classes are mixed ability and suitable for all levels - and run on a drop in basis so you can just turn up, no need to book. I always have students who are entirely new to yoga and some who have been practising for 5 years or more and everything in between. My aim is that everyone is working within their own limits, at the same time developing the necessary awareness to move safely and deeply into the postures.
I can lend you a yoga mat if necessary; please wear clothes that are comfortable and make sure you don't eat or drink for at least 90 minutes before class.
