Grandma’s Stories Ltd was created by Valerie Wood-Gaiger MBE.
I live in a tiny village in rural Wales, a beautiful area full of Celtic history, legend and inspiration.

I have three grown up children, seven grandchildren and a little great-grandson. I have always told stories and had a great interest in European history and prehistory. I now write fun, factional stories. A new series that will progress from The Ice Age to The Roman Empire.

My aim is to make learnng fun! I have fond memories of how my grandmas told stories then brought the stories to life with play and activities.

Grandma’s Stories Ltd is the publisher of these original books. All our books will include our unique Learn with Grandma educational programme.

Today more grandparents care for their grandchildren on a regular basis than ever before. I want to encourage parents, grandparents and teachers to have fun helping children learn. All the Learn with Grandma activities in the books are designed to make learning fun and memorable.

Drama, discussion topics and language skills projects give opportunities to practice language skills.
Visits to museums, farms and other places of interest can be either class or family outings.
Art and science; Geography and games; even cooking the food our ancestors ate helps bring the story to live and will encourage children to try new foods; understand where food comes from and food production methods.
