VIRGINIA TANZMANN
I have been knitting since my mother and grandmother taught me when I was five years old. Professionally I am an architect, and I can be seen knitting on the Gold Line train daily (usually socks) on my way to and from work in downtown Los Angeles. Like most devoted knitters I have a house full of yarn. I also weave and sew, and I have 5 looms, several knitting machines, a serger, sewing machine, and many other gadgets, fabric, ribbon, and a very patient husband!
Lessons, available evenings or weekends, can be one-on-one, or for a group, or even as a party theme (what fun!), so the price, which will be affordable, as this is fun for me too, is negotiable. I love children and work well with them, and a “mom (or dad) and me” is a fun way to bond.
Knitting is great for relaxation, coordination, design and color sense, patience, and it can be very meditative. I am a good teacher and have even taught in my field of architecture. I would love to pass along to you the joy that this gentle art can bring to your life. Let’s talk!
