The following are a list of some of the topics which are covered on the course:
* Regional Anatomy - study of constituent parts of a given body region.
* Applied Anatomy - study of how the body parts function individually and in relation to other body regions.
* Origin, Insertion and Action of over 50 muscles.
* Injuries - study of common injuries to muscles, tendons, ligaments, bursa and bone and how to assess for each one.
* Posture evaluation - how and what to observe for postural symmetry
* Treatment - this will build on prior massage technique and include:
o Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
o Neuro Muscular Technique (NMT)
o Muscle Energy Technique (MET)
o Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF)
o Soft Tissue Release Technique (STR)
o Connective Tissue Massage (CTM)
o Passive articulation of major joints
* Use of ice (Cryotherapy) in acute injuries - it's rationale and method of application.
* A look at different types of exercises and stretching routines.
* Pre, post and maintenance sports massage routines
