-APPROACH TO TUTORING
Mathematics:

Explanations of ideas are always backed up with worked examples; indeed, students can generally expect to go through plenty of worked examples throughout the lessons. I am also happy to set homework and I do find that students benefit from this; especially when it throws up problem areas! This hands-on approach serves to illustrate and cement key ideas while making sure that students get crucial exam practice at the same time.

Physics:

For physics, my teaching is concept driven, that is, I go through the theories, laws and models before exploring practical applications. Tutorials are exam focussed to the extent that past paper questions are discussed, where possible, to illustrate the ideas.

-TASTER LESSON
I think it is important for students to select a tutor that is right for them (or parents to select a tutor that is right for their child). For this reason, I am offering a full, hour long 'taster' lesson.

This is a great opportunity for students to assess me a tutor.

It will also give me an opportunity to assess the student; their strengths and weaknesses, and enable me to suggest some effective study strategies.
