Thai Yoga Massage

Thai Massage is also called Thai Yoga or Thai Yoga Massage, because hands, knees, legs, and feet are used to move the recipient into a series of yoga-like stretches. It is a powerful tool for healing and transformation for people who are looking to ease into a lifestyle that is based on health and wellness. Clients often comment that Thai Massage is akin to passive or assisted yoga. It is a superb stepping stone to commencing a yoga practice...or a means of gaining the benefits of yoga without doing any of the 'work'! The spirit of Karuna (compassion) is transmitted throughout Leena Patel's sessions and as such receiving her Thai Yoga treatments are in themselves a form of meditation which can bring calm, clarity and inner peace. Leena's work is an outpouring of the heart where she aims to connect with what is needed by each recipient in order for him/her to experience healing and transformation on a physical, emotional and spiritual level.

Thai Yoga Massage is more energizing and more dynamic than more classic forms of bodywork. During a session, the recipient will lie on a mat or firm mattress on the floor. The therapist leans on the recipient's body using hands and forearms to apply firm rhythmic pressure to almost every part of the receiver's body. The treatment generally follows the Sen Energy lines on the body (the Sen are comparable to Chinese meridians).

I felt a true kindred spirit, and it was so refreshing to connect with someone who really really understands on a much deeper level than the average therapist. I could have spent 10 times the money getting many massages and not equaling one session with Leena. This is the truth. Leena offers true value!!! --drummerboylex1961

Thai Yoga treatments relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically. During a session Leena utilizes (but is not limited to) muscle compression, joint mobilization, shiatsu and acupressure. A unique and optional service she offers is to weave meditations and Karuna Yoga philosophy into the yoga massage. If however, you prefer to bliss out to some calming music or meditative chants, that can be provided too!

A full Thai massage typically lasts two hours, although the practice has been modified to suit the needs of clients who prefer 60 or 90 minute sessions. Whatever time frame you choose, you will receive a five star experience with a Thai Yoga Massage that is completely customized to suit your individual needs.
