You will learn to traditionally upholster an unsprung chair seat - typically a dining room or bedroom style chair. A nice chair will be provided for you to take home.

The skills you learn will carry through to more advanced projects and to our Intermediate workshop.

Held in our light and airy studio in Bracebridge Heath, workshop and course days run from 9am until around 4.30pm, or when we’re finished, so there are no time pressures. Fees quoted are per person and are inclusive of all materials and tuition, use of tools etc, a notebook for your workshop jottings, on-tap refreshments all day and a good lunch at the local restaurant.

Workshops are held on a mutually convenient day and we will teach as few as one student, so there are no cancellations because not enough students have enrolled. However we are happy to take small groups of students too.

If you book for more than one person for the same day, you will receive a 10% discount on your own fee for every extra person you include (e.g. book for yourself and two friends and your own fee will reduce by a massive 20%! If you book for more than one workshop for yourself (booked at the same time and paying the required deposits) you will receive 5% off each one.
