Traditional Upholstery - Intermediate

£550 Make an enquiry

In this 5-day workshop you will learn to traditionally upholster a small sprung chair. No foam and staples here!!

You will build on the skills learned in the Beginners workshop and learn the new ones needed to complete your chair. These include how to strip a chair (although this will already be done for you), revive the woodwork and sort out dodgy joints, before you begin the upholstery itself. A nice chair is provided for you to work on and take home.

Held in our light and airy studio in Bracebridge Heath,Lincoln, workshop and course days run from 9.30am until around 4.30pm, or when we’re finished, so there are no time pressures.

Fees quoted are per person and are inclusive of all materials and tuition, use of tools etc, a notebook for your workshop jottings, on-tap refreshments all day and a good lunch of your choice at the local restaurant.

We will teach as few as one student, so there are no cancellations because not enough students have enrolled. However we are happy to take small groups of students too.

If you book for more than one person for the same day, you will receive a 10% discount on your own fee for every extra person you include (e.g. book for yourself and two friends and your own fee will reduce by a massive 20%! If you book for more than one workshop for yourself (booked at the same time and paying the required deposits) you will receive 5% off each one.
