Voice Lessons
It is ultimately up to an individual to make his/her own choices about what sounds to make and how to make them, but I see most singers trapped in one vocal pattern/style/habit/production, ignorant of the amazing scope of sounds their body has the ability to make and use for whatever purpose the singer desires. I give my students as many tools as I can in the amount of time we have together, each for the purpose of showing the student the spectrum of sounds available to him/her at any given moment, while also showing him/her how to create those sounds without damaging the instrument. Most tools involve freeing the mind of self-defeating thoughts and/or the body of self-obstructing tension, thus releasing new sound options for the student that were previously suppressed and unknown to the student. It is my hope that my students will take away healthier habits and a greatly expanded palette of vocal colors from my studio to use in whatever musical endeavors they seek.
