Portrait, Animal, and Still-life Painting

For Beginners, Intermediate, and experienced Students.
Depending on the level of the student, first I take a moment to understand how much the student understands about painting techniques and how much experiece he/she has. Furthermore, I get information about the goal the student wants to achieve in terms of form, technique, style, and subject of the art he/she desires to create.
My basic steps are to teach the student to observe the object, down to the smallest shadow, curve, texture, etc...
Then showing how this can be reproduced by painting. How the brush strokes are supposed to be, what colors are to be used and mixed in order to produce the desired results.
And most importantly I focus on the individuals own style and artistic goal and skills to develop those to perfection in order to achieve the goal rather than trying to impose something unnatural to that individual.
The image below is oil on canvas... if you think that is hard, i tell you it isn't. It's all about the right observation skills.
