Conceptual thinking for people who love to create
The lesson that is illustrated is Gyotaku fish printing, the wet paper method. I love to teach this printmaking method, but it can only be done from my studio in Wales or a workshop venue -- anywhere!
This is a lesson is for those of you online who are interested in mentoring and in creative thinking. You don't have to draw it, but you can tell me what you envision first. It does not have to be limited to paper, it can be 3-D. This is what all editorial illustrators have to process to come up with a concept for an article, or book cover, etc. that they have been asked to design.
how would you illustrate the word "innovation"?
-- write down 5 keys definitions of the word innovation
-- then choose an animal that innovates or does things that are novel and specific to that animal only.
what would you create? and how? in what medium?
