1-2-1 Private Yoga

Private Yoga North London
I offer 1-2-1 yoga lessons in your home, workplace or other venue.
Private yoga tuition is tailored to your specific needs, e.g. in terms of health, flexibility, strength, experience and knowledge of yoga.
A private 1-2-1 yoga class gives you the chance to learn at your own pace, proceeding as quickly or as slowly as you wish. There is also ample opportunity to ask questions and to get feedback on your progress.
An individual class is ideal for beginners as well as anyone who feels unsure about attending a group class. These sessions are particularly suited to those with busy lifestyles and the elderly
Private yoga tuition is also suitable for more advanced students who want to focus on developing specific aspects of their practice.
The cost for a one hour weekday session is £60.00 in the following areas:
Tottenham, Camden, Islington, Highbury, Holloway, Hornsey, Kilburn, Harringay, Parmers Green, Wood Green, Finchley, Crouch End, Finsbury Park, Manor House, Stamford Hill, Seven Sisters, Stoke Newington, Queen's Park, Golder's Green, Brent Cross.
For other areas, please contact me for a quote.
If you would like to share the class with up to 2 other people, you can also share the cost, but please ensure that you have sufficient space.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A LESSON
I will come to your home or venue, which will need to be a suitable space where you have enough room to move and stretch out. Make sure you are wearing comfortable clothing – a T-shirt and tracksuit trousers or leggings are ideal - plus you may want an extra layer or two to put on during the final period of relaxation. A typical yoga class will begin with some warm up exercises, sometimes preceded by a short relaxation with some breathing practice, followed by a variety of postures (asanas), and a final relaxation at the end of the lesson. If required, a short meditation practice can also be included. I will fully explain and demonstrate all the practices, and assist and adjust your practice of the postures as necessary. Each yoga lesson will build on the previous one: postures and practices already learned can be repeated (with variations) to fully integrate your learning experience, while new postures can be introduced gradually for a more rounded, varied practice and to maintain your interest.
ABOUT AIDEN OLIVER CONDRON
Aiden has been a yoga practitioner for almost 20 years. Within this time he has evolved and deepened his own practice of Yoga and Meditation while teaching regularly and facilitating workshops exploring Creativity, Experiential Learning and Transformational Change. With an extensive background as an actor, director and teacher in the performing arts, Aiden continues to actively pursue his research in the field body/mind practices. He is founding artistic director of Nervousystem, a Dublin-based international performance laboratory where he uses yoga as a key part of physical actor training. He has taught yoga at the Alchemy Centre in Camden and Evolve Wellness Centre in South Kensington and Stretch in Broadway Market. He currently focuses his teaching on private one-to-one instruction for several clients around London. Aiden has also taught yoga in Goa, India and for teachers and students of the Holistic Therapies course at Pearse College, Dublin. He has also lead courses in Hatha Yoga for the Dublin Buddhist Centre and was a senior yoga instructor at The Yoga Hub, one of Dublin’s most popular yoga studios, for three years.
Aiden trained in India under Abani Biswas as part of the Sources Research Project researching ancient Indian performing arts and embodied practices including Kalarippayattu, one of the oldest martial arts in existence. Aiden was initially introduced to yoga as part of his own theatre training at the Conservatory of Music and Drama in the early 1990's and has maintained a daily personal practice ever since. He is a graduate of Himalaya Yoga Valley Centre, India (Yoga Alliance Registered) where he completed his teacher training under Yogacharya Lalit Kumar.
With a background in Asthanga and Hatha yoga, Aiden brings these two practices together to form Hatha Flow with an emphasis on an open-hearted fluid approach supported by a clear physical alignment and union of body and breath. Aiden fosters a deep ‘listening’ to the body in his teaching and encourages students to view their asana practice within the wider context of yoga as a holistic spiritual science of wellbeing continuing beyond the mat. Respecting all abilities and body types, he strongly promotes and supports his students’ individual journeys and encourages them to draw from the group energy but each to honor their own body and path. He fondly remembers his teacher’s humorous and wise words; Don’t look at the person on your left or right, only look straight ahead. If the person beside you jumps in the lake, do you do the same? No! Your practice, Your yoga! Aiden is also a certified Holistic Massage Therapist.
