Still Life Painting using 3 colours

I will guide you through painting in oils using 3 colours. The purpose of 3 colours is to work tonally. We will select an object (maybe an apple on a fabric) and we will paint it using tones of paint made from these 3 colours. It will essentially be a tonal work. At the end of the session you will be able to lay in the basic shapes for your still life and have an introduction to light and dark by working in a tonal manner.

Furthermore if you are completely new to oil painting we will work together so you are confident in how to use the medium thinly and thickly.

At the end of the lesson you will effectively have a finished work tonally and also be able to develop it further should you wish in further sessions by thinking of it as an underpainting.

I can quote you a cost on basic materials that you will need. Materials are not included in the lesson cost.

Your first session is 50% off so £15 instead of £30 for 2 hrs. The rate will then go to £15 per hr subsequently. This lesson is designed to act as a starting point.
