Learn tai chi and meditation for vitality, peace of mind and longevity

Private tuition is a great way to start learning tai chi. As a beginner, it’s the perfect opportunity to get a feel for the movements of tai chi before joining a class. You may have some personal goals or a specific issue such as back pain, stress, arthritis or osteoporosis. Or simply want to improve your flexibility and muscle tone. You might just prefer to learn tai chi and meditation one-to-one. Lessons are tailored to your aspirations and abilities, and the pace at which you wish to learn. Drawing on a full curriculum of tai chi forms, meditation and qi gong (breathing exercises), we build lessons that target specific objectives, body needs or issues.
You may have practiced yoga for years but are now interested in what tai chi has to offer. Private lessons give you the chance to see whether tai chi works for you and to progress to a more advanced level in a shorter space of time. Perhaps you’re interested in tai chi as part of your overall health, well-being and fitness plan. It’s great for building flexibility, balance and coordination, as well as having an unrivaled reputation for injury prevention.
I offer precise and authentic tai chi to deliver benefits for mind and body from the first lesson. You will quickly develop a set of exercises and meditations you can perform for yourself, and will be able to complete the first section of the tai chi form within 8 weeks, if not quicker. There’s more information here about tai chi and more on my training and background here. Lesson’s can be scheduled at a time and location most convenience to you.
