English Tuition

I am eternally grateful to my father who instilled a passion for words in me from an early age. By reading me stories as a young child, playing word games with me in the car or challenging me to a battle on the scrabble board, he laid the foundations for a lifelong love of the English language. Whilst I believe that many of us can be divided into a ‘words’ or ‘numbers’ category, I also believe that with the right support and encouragement, we can all grow to love English in its varying forms such as a stimulating play, a gripping book or as a simple means to communicate more effectively in the world’s common language.

Tutoring English allows me to meet and assist a diverse range of students from Primary level children to mature adult learners. With regards to tuition requests, no other subject is driven by such a broad range of motivations. I have successfully guided students through school exams and EFL tests whilst helping other casual learners to master their proficiency in the language for business or other purposes. The ability to read, write and speak English provides lifelong rewards and a wealth of opportunity. Whether you are working towards an IELTS test, an entry exam or simply needing to improve your essay writing then I would be delighted to hear from you.

Private Tuition ought to be entirely flexible and built around the needs and goals of the student. It thus requires a highly individual, bespoke approach. My tutoring style is thus adaptable and tailored to each person. I strive to give each student the best possible advantage in their studies and future life plans. I also strive to inspire others to adopt that love of words that I am so grateful to my father for passing on to me.
