Ukulele: learn how to play ukulele the 'ucanukulele' way!

I fell in love with the ukulele after visiting Hawaii in 2003. It's a wonderful instrument because its fun and easy to play. Since then I gave up the guitar to play the ukulele (which is also lighter and more portable!!). I ran the Brighton Ukulele Jam group 2009-2011 which involved leading the group through a variety of songs, making sure to include new and more experienced players. Often people would ask if I could spend time going over the basics before they joined the group ....and 'ucanukulele' was born.

In one lesson I will be able to teach you how to hold and strum your uke and play some chords - everyone I have taught is able to play a song by the end of the session. As a parting gift I will give you a chord table and copy of the song we've practiced and a new song, to encourage you to keep on playing. I can also give you information about ukulele jams happening in around sussex.

I am happy to teach children as long as they are motivated to learn - 7+ years preferably. I also hold an enhanced CRB.
