Cultural History, 1500-1960
This is a complete course in European intellectual and cultural history from the end of the middle ages to the middle of the twentieth century. It covers political and social change as well as developments in the arts, sciences, philosophy and religion.
The course can be tailored to your specific interests and prior knowledge. I can provide either a wide European focus or a narrower and more detailed British one. A shorter (and lower-cost) version can also be created if you don't want to cover the whole period.
This is a great course to do if you're studying a humanities subject and would like to have a solid understanding of historical context or if you're embarking on a project of self-study and want a framework to help you get started.
Students pay per session, not for the whole course up front. Each session is normally 90 minutes. As with most of my courses I'm happy to work with a small group of students, which works out cheaper for each person.
