Learn to play the drums!

So, how do the lessons work?
Well, my students sit behind the kit the entire lesson (unless I'm showing them something), and I'll use the P.A to run a metronome and / or playback music. However, I usually play along on the guitar or bass so my students get a feel for playing in a band context and develop musical chemistry.

The lessons are very interactive, dynamic, and fun! students love the fact that I'm patient, friendly and a good communicator - we work at your own pace and to your needs.

Who are the lessons for?
My lessons are for everyone; beginners to advanced players of all ages. Sessions are goal-specific, so it's down to you what you want to achieve. People come to me for different reasons, but usually they want to either

a) learn to play to join a band
b) jam to their favorite tunes at home or with friends
c) do something fun after work to relax
d) want to improve their playing, and learn new tricks
e) give a lesson as a present to a loved one
f) train for their Trinity Guildhall grades

There's something in it for everybody! So, why do you want to learn? Drop me a line whether you're into Rock, Metal, Funk, R'n'B, Dub, Reggae, etc.

What you'll get out of my lessons and the drums!
Drumming offers a healthy method of self-expression and achievement by empowering people to move beyond their perceived boundaries, and this is something I facilitate. In doing so, and teaching you to play, the drums will help reducing stress through exercising the body and burning calories, hence, strengthening the immune system and improving one’s mood. In addition to these benefits, it exercises the brain and engages many of its systems, making drumming fantastic for one’s wellbeing.
