Continuing professional development

Karate is a path of constant learning and improving technique - a bit like perfecting your golf swing. I am lucky because I am able to train at Sensei Ohta's club (Oasis SKC) at the Oasis Leisure Centre, 32 Endell Street, London WC2 and also at the JKA (Japan Karate Association) courses which are held around the country on a regular basis.
Wednesday 11.30 am to 1 pm at Oasis SKC is particularly testing because the class is 95% black belts. The lesson starts with "relaxed" freestyle to warm up - I have lost a tooth as a result - and then hard training, with advanced kata in the last 20 minutes. The standard is very high as you would expect.
JKA courses are open to all grades and an excellent opportunity to learn from the senior JKA instructors. See more on http://www.jka-england.org and for Sensei Ohta's club visit http://www.oasisskc.co.uk
