Tracy Furlong and Martin Hopton are two professional jewellery makers committed to transporting their art and skills of jewellery making at the bench from London's urban setting to rural Hertfordshire. In 2009 they took over a barn in St Albans, and kitted it out as their ideal studio.
The St Albans School Of Jewellery offers taster classes and courses to anyone keen to learn the art of jewellery making.

If you'd like to try a jewellery-making class, they offer five-hour one-day classes on the second Sunday of each month. There are also 8 week term classes on Wednesday and Friday mornings and Wednesday evening.

Your first project will be to make a simple band. Then you'll progress to pendants, stone-set rings, earrings, cufflinks and the list goes on...

Image attached show some H&F beginners and intermediate projects.

Tracy and Martin's goal is to offer everything that students usually travel to London for, right here in Hertfordshire.
