    The University of Everything

    Over the last few weeks, I've told a few people that I was thinking of starting a campaign to encourage teenagers to think twice about going to university. Not because I think it's a waste of time, but because I think a lot of young people end up at university without really knowing why they are there. (There are also too many young people who feel like their options have been closed down for life because they didn't make it to university at eighteen - and a lot of well-meant advice aimed at teenagers reinforces this misconception.)

    this is a nice site that you can use to transpose guitar tunings and chords into uke chords.

    in festive style the above link is for band aids 'do they know its christmas'.

    chords only, i'm working on my own embelishments to uke it up properly but this is a great starting place.

    Toby Ward says:
    "Consider for a moment the powerful Telindus study of 1,000 European employees that should serve as a warning to all employers and communicators:

    39% of 18 to 24 year-old employees would consider leaving itheir employer if they were not allowed to access sites like Facebook and YouTube

    A further 21% indicated that they would feel 'annoyed' by such a ban

    The problem is less acute with 25 to 65 year-olds, of whom just 16% would consider leaving and 13% would be annoyed "
