Alexis founded Prepped & Polished to help elementary, secondary and college level students improve their grades and test scores, and assist college-bound students with the college admissions process. While tutoring for several large, commercial test prep companies, Alexis envisioned growing his own independent educational services company run entirely by educators for the love of education. Alexis and other members of the Prepped & Polished team have traveled a collective hundred thousand miles to educate students in-person, collectively working with well over five hundred families.

For more than a decade, Alexis has also helped families navigate and gain both confidence and control over the rigorous college admissions process. Alexis provides full-cycle application support services – he has personally visited over fifty college campuses for families, helping them gain the information necessary to best determine where their student will achieve future success.

Alexis is a certified school guidance counselor, grades Pre K-12, and holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Alexis also spent his junior year living in Seville, Spain through the Cornell, Pennsylvania, University of Michigan Study Abroad program. Described by students as supportive, patient and enthusiastic, Alexis has helped students gain confidence, maximize their academic potential, and achieve dramatically improved grades and test scores.

Alexis is an active member of counseling organization such as IECA, HECA, MASCA, NACAC, NEACAC; professional organizations such as the Wayland Business Association and Wellesley Chamber of Commerce; and also non-profit organizations such as Big Brother Big Sisters of America and Bridge over Troubled Waters.
