I was introduced to music at a very young age and have had a deep love of music ever since. I began learning the piano at the age of six and then went on to learn the flute and violin. In 2000 I gained a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Ian Tomlin School of Music in Edinburgh. After graduating I returned to live in Ballymena and have been teaching privately and in schools ever since.

My passion is to share my love of music with others and to help them develop their musical ability. Being a mother of two young children I have witnessed first-hand the fun and enjoyment that children can gain from being actively involved in music, and how this can help them in their overall development-physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively.

In 2010 I began teaching children aged four to seven years of age using the highly successful piano-based Dogs and Birds method and have been thrilled at the results. Shortly afterwards I became a licensed Kindermusik educator (only the second in Northern Ireland) and I am continually amazed at the value of Kindermusik programmes in early child development.
