I teach acoustic and electric guitar from my dedicated music room in Forest Row, covering all the major styles. In other words, rock, jazz, folk, blues, classical and anything in between. I’ve been playing for decades – literally – and teaching for almost as long. I have an honours degree in music and a background in commercial training, which means that I can adapt and design an approach that’s tailored specifically to your needs.

I’m a member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors (patrons include Paul McCartney, David Gilmour, Hank Marvin, Ronnie Wood, Gordon Giltrap, John Etheridge and others.) Among the many other benefits to students, this means that I can offer exam grades covering electric and acoustic guitar styles as well as classical.

I believe that learning guitar should be fun. It should also be serious. I’ll each you the songs, riffs, licks and solos that you want to learn. And I’ll show you how to develop your skills, abilities and potential.

I work with children and adults, and if you prefer to learn in a group setting I can arrange that too.
