April Christie
April started performing professionally as a dancer at 14 years old.
She was an RAD ballet Scholar for 6 years studying under Louise Brown and the Royal Ballets Carl Myers, performing in RAD videos and show Galas and performed with the National Youth Ballet.
After 3 years study at Birds College She gained her qualifications and went on to perform in the west-end, cruise ships, tv shows, films and idents. She has worked as an actress, model, singer and choreographer on stage and in film.
She started teaching at 14. She has taught in schools, dance schools and has been taking dance workshops for all ages in Ballet, movement, dance technique and confidence building for 2 years now under her school Perfect Circle dance school.
I have a strong belief that a good dancer is an expressive, joyful dancer and person. I believe in strong, Correct technique that is deeply enbedded in me from my training.
There is no such thing as a perfect body, Some of the most arresting performances I have ever seen, have been executed by less than "perfect" dancer bodies' because the true essence of a dancer comes from the heart and soul.
