Hello. I am a professional pianist and teacher of piano and music theory. I have 10 years of music/piano teaching experience, and have taught privately and in schools and colleges. I have taught all ages and abilities from young beginners to post grade-8 University Music students at Kings College London, and I have given private tuition for GCSE and A Level music exams. I have studied at Trinity College of Music, Goldsmiths College and The Royal Academy of Music, and my qualifications include BMus, MMus and the LRAM piano teaching diploma. Whilst at college I was awarded the college prize and was also a alumni of the prestigious Britten pears Young Artist Programme. I have performed throughout London at venues in including St. Johns Smith Square, Tate Modern, and Duke's Hall.
I am looking for students of all ages and abilities, from age 6 upwards, and am particularly interested in teaching adults. I am based in St. Werburghs, Bristol, and mostly teach from my studio, but will travel in the local area.
I can prepare you for Grade exams or just help you in playing for fun in a range of styles from classical to cocktail and popular tunes. My teaching style is flexible and I adapt to what and how YOU want to learn. I draw on my training and study in the complimentary fields of Yoga, Meditation and Sound Healing in my teaching, bringing to it a holistic and person centred approach that will help you reach your goals whilst enjoying yourself and feeling nourished on a deep level. After all, this is about art and not about competition :)
Please get in touch if you have more questions. Looking forward to hearing from you!
