Ariel Gragnani
Ariel Gragnani is a professional classical guitarist based in London with over ten years of experience performing and teaching. Ariel is available for guitar lessons and has extensive teaching experience with both children and adults. Working towards Grade exams is encouraged for all students, as well as creating regular performance opportunities. Styles include classical, jazz, Brazilian and flamenco.
Ariel Gragnani received his Bachelors and Masters of Performance degrees from the Royal College of Music graduating with distinction. While studying at the RCM, Ariel was awarded the Leverhulme Postgraduate Scholarship as well as the Lucy Ann Jones fund.
He began his musical career performing traditional Brazilian music ranging from samba, choro and bossa nova. Following his studies at the music Conservatoire of Tatui in Sao Paulo, Ariel performed in the USA and Europe before furthering his studies in the UK. In London, Ariel studied flamenco with Francisco Antonio and classical guitar with Professor Timothy Walker from the Royal Academy of Music.
Ariel earned his Bachelors of Music in Performance from the Royal College of Music studying under Gary Ryan and Chris Stell. In 2012 Ariel became an RCM Scholar receiving scholarship to pursue his Masters of Music Performance. Ariel claimed first prize in the RCM 2013 guitar competition.
