Barbara Dziewięcka was born in Kraków in 1988. She has appeared as a soloist with the youth orchestra Ostinato in Poland, Germany, France and has given recitals in Philharmonic Halls in Krakow, Łódź, Zielona Góra, Opole in Poland, Stuttgart Music Academy Hall, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, St. James’s Piccadilly. She has worked with such great musicians as Kaja Danczowska, Leonid Kerbel, Mari Tampere-Bezrodny, Michael Vaiman, Tomasz Tomaszewski, Kevin Kenner, Belcea Quartet, Chillingirian Quartet. Recently, she became a member of the prestigious chamber ‘Orchestra of Life’ formed by Nigel Kennedy, performing in Philharmonic Halls in Berlin, Munich and others, as well as at the Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall and Barbican Hall in London.
Barbara has won various prizes in youth violin competitions in Poland, including 1st prize in the 1998 Competition for Young Violinists in Limanowa, 2nd prize in the 2002 St. Hajzer Bach Competition in Zielona Góra, 3rd Prize in the Irena Dubiska Violin Competition in Łódź.
In 2010, Barbara completed her Bachelor’s degree under a full Scholarship at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with Krzysztof Śmietana.
Recently, Barbara completed Masters in Performance at the Royal College of Music in London where she studied with Itzhak Rashkovsky.
Barbara is an active and passionate chamber musician, a founder of A Piacere Trio (
