Bobby Cottonwood is an active Las Vegas Musician, Singer and Music Educator with 30+ years experience teaching Drums and Voice In So. California, Arizona and Nevada.

Born in Phila., PA, Bobby started singing at the age of 2. Raised in Hollywood he started singing professionally at age 12 with several appearances in the Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles Music Center and throughout So. California and on TV throughout the U.S. At age 16 he turned pro as a drummer & bandleader with his rock band, "The Indifferents," and appeared on stage with the Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Yardbirds, The Animals, Sonny & Cher & many others. At 20 he toured with his own popular show & dance group, "Sounds West" for 7 years throughout the U.S. & Canada & appeared with Dean Martin, Helen Reddy, Paul Williams, Jack Jones, Tom Jones, Billy Eckstine, Nelson Riddle & many others in Las Vegas, Reno & Lake Tahoe through the '70s & '80s. In the 90's Bobby appeared locally at Hollywood's popular Legends of Hollywood Jazz Club on Hollywood Blvd. along with Freddie Hubbard, James Moody, Tom Scott and a score of local musicians from the Tonight Show as well as others from the Kenton, Basie and Les Brown Big Bands for 8 years. He has also produced Music Festivals for Hollywood and No. Arizona and has been teaching privately since 1974. His own voice teacher, Gilbert Russell was voice teacher to Shirley Jones, George Chakaris, Rita Morena, well known Broadway artists and countless others. Bobby studied Drums with Jack "Bongos" Burger, one of Shelly Mann's drummers. Shelly was the most prolific, in demand and technically proficient drummer in Los Angeles during the 60's, 70's and early 80's.

A professional since age 12, Bobby has made several appearances in the Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles Music Center, and throughout So. California. Bobby travelled extensively with his own show throughout the U.S. and Canada for 7 years and appeared at a popular Hollywood Jazz Club for 8 years. He has also produced Music Festivals for Hollywood and in No. Arizona and has been teaching privately since 1974. His own voice teacher, Gilbert Russell was voice teacher to Shirley Jones, George Chakaris, Rita Morena, the cast of Broadway's West Side Story and other Broadway artists. Bobby also Studied with one of Shelly Mann's drummers, Jack "Bongos" Burger.
