I am a handweaver living and working in Dundee on the east coast of Scotland.

As well as producing handwoven textiles, I host weaving classes and taster days in my studio on the top floor of Meadow Mill. I also blog about weaving, write about weaving and help to edit a weaving journal.

Group Classes

Weaving for Beginners

This is a four-day course spread over two weekends. The first weekend will be spent learning the basics: you will weave samples, learn how to read a weaving draft and work through all the steps of designing and planning your own project. The second weekend is all about your project! You will dress the loom and weave a piece to your own design. You will also learn some techniques for finishing your woven cloth.

The course fee includes everything you will need for weaving. The class is designed for complete beginners, but is also suitable for ‘rusty’ weavers who want to refresh their skills.
