I run 3 choirs in Somerset - Meeting Voices in Chard, Blackdown in Wellington and Canticle at Somerset County Council, Taunton.
Meeting Voices Community Choir meets in Chard, Somerset (close to Devon and Dorset)! This friendly informal group meets on Wednesday evenings during term-time. We sing songs from around the world in glorious harmony for fun and some performance (optional)! From gospel to African, Beatles to Bulgarian and lots in between - all taught by ear. All abilities welcome. No auditions. No need to read music. Chard Town Hall.Taster sessions free. Come and join us....IF YOU CAN TALK YOU CAN SING!
Sessions usually around £5 per night payable termly but concessions and other ways of paying available.

Blackdown Community choir meets on Thursday evenings in the Baptist Church Centre, South Street, Wellington during term-times. Same styles and relaxed atmosphere. Taster £4.

Canticle is the name of Somerset County Council's very own workplace choir which meets Thursday lunchtimes for an hour and welcomes members from outside if you know someone who works there. I lead this too. Only about £10-£15 a term. Also taught by ear and performances take place at Council events especially at Christmas.

Experience

Singing and Song workshops

I have been singing forever, and have belonged to an a cappella harmony group of four women for 20 years! I belonged to a cooperative women's choir for 10 years and for the last 10 years have been leading community choirs and song workshops - now part-time.
